I use the app frequently each day to prepare for certain situations. It helps me get my thoughts together for a presentation or meeting, helps to calm my anxiety, block out all of the distractions around me and allows me to focus on the task at hand. I love that you can customize the sounds and volume levels as well as adjust the time for each program. The more you use it and play around with the functions the better the app can help.
Effective and subtle app. I use other apps to self hypnotize and "work on stuff" while I sleep- this app I use for vast, and unfettered by issues, deep sleep. I drift off for hours. I use it alongside the sleep monitoring app and am very happy with its reports on my quality of sleep. I think this is the best app to use to develop your sleep chops. (and vagal tone?)
This is my first time using this kind of program. I was surprised but it really works. I mainly use morning Coffee and deep sleep
Enough said!!! I mostly use the anxiety reduction and deep meditation tracks. But the coffee one is effective as well. I used the positive mood track while traveling once and found myself excited and smiling for no apparent reason.
Very helpful, I totally doubted I'd benefit from this. I am a very anxious and hyper person by nature...but now not so much. My focus is on point when I use the app with brain waves turned all the way up. My concentration at work has def improved!
This thing blows my mind! The first time I used it I was like "No way!" As I kept using it I discovered that it is literally the only way I am able to fall asleep nights when my mind is so full of thoughts and my anxiety is running rampant! I hate the way sleep aids make me feel like I've been run over by a freight train. I recently switched from using "Deep Sleep" to "Dreamy Sleep" and had the craziest dreams! I normally can't remember my dreams and I was actually able to recall quite a bit of them. Unfortunately last night, I dreamt that I faked the death of my dog last year and I felt like it lasted the whole night so I think I'll be switching back to "Deep Sleep" :( Awesome product though. My *only* complaint is that I wish there were more ambiance options or the ability to use it with Pandora. You can use your own music but I don't have much personal music on my phone so I am limited to using the app's ambiance tracks and they get old after a while. Highly recommend!

I love this app. I have been trying to get ideas for a PowerPoint I am working on. I used sharp mind, creative mind and others. The ideas started flowing like crazy and gave me so much energy, I almost finished the whole thing.
Also, I am older and I'm using the memory boost and it is helping a lot.

I've been using this app since maybe 2010 when my husband and I got matching iPads and were gleefully finding and trying out apps. We didn't talk for three days except to say, "You might like this one!" This is one he found for me and I use Motivation to get out of bed, Focus and Alert also Concentration to work or play music. Pre Work Out has been a must for me to psych up. Power Nap is awesome! Sometimes I set it for a 20 min work nap and sometimes for a 2 hour "nap" when I don't have enough time for a night's sleep.
Some of the settings work for me and some don't. I've been using it long enough so that I can just start setting it and feel my mind shift toward my goal.
I bought all the apps from Banzai Labs that I saw to support the company and to try out the apps.
You can use the soothing sounds that accompany the brainwaves sounds or not. The sounds alone are nice as well and there are a lot of choices.
I highly recommend this app. Turn it on and Go! Turn it on and Relax... Turn it on and Rest. I recommend it to a lot of my friends with good results.

I use this ap every day. It gets me out of bed, gets me to work, keeps me focused, helps me grab the perfect cat nap, gets me charged up for a great work out, and takes me into dreamland. Well, I don't use it all day long but I'll use it for any of these things to give a boost when it's not there. Love it! It has improved my life.
I live in an apartment on a busy street with a lot of exterior noise. This app has helped me to focus for meditation, deep sleep, induce myself in a 20 min nap and for creativity building. Definitely try it! I use it daily.
I have used this app at work weekly for six months. It is very effective at shifting my mood or focusing my mind. The built-in background sounds are pleasant and I like using my music for background as well. I highly recommend it.
I've suffered from insomnia most of my life. It would take at least a couple of hours for me to go to sleep, and then I would wake several times in the night. I didn't want to take sleep medication, and decided to try binaural beats. The first night I used deep sleep for two hours and it gave me a headache. The next night, I adjusted it and used it for only 10 minutes, And that seemed to really help. I now use it for 20 minutes, and that seems to be enough to get me to sleep. I've also used a headache relief and that has helped, even though it didn't totally knock out my headache. After reading the other reviews, I am looking forward to trying The other settings on this app. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

I've been doing multiple things to learn about this condition and how to manage it to be the best I can be. This app has helped so much! like many out there, I take medication for ADD however given the busy office environment I work in I still find it hard to concentrate most of the time. I'm a therapist and found this app to be a wonderful tool for my clients, particularly for anxiety and sleep. I use it every day myself when I'm tired, or need to focus, and to go to sleep. I find I get a really good deep sleep.
I use it everyday. I start my day with the Morning Coffee setting while having my coffee and reading some inspirational things. I use the other programs at least once a day for some reason or another. It works wonderfully for me.
I've been using this app regularly for more than a month now. I'm pleasantly surprised at the changes I've begun to notice. Specifically, I'm more focused during the day, my concentration is better, I'm calmer and feel generally happier. My memory is noticeably improved, too. I've gotten into the habit of listen to "Morning Coffee" every morning before I get up, and "Dreamy Sleep" as soon as I go to bed every night. During the day I listen to "Power Nap" or "Lucid Dreaming" often, as well as other programs as appropriate. I really love this app and highly recommend it if you're at all interested. I use it with with LG Bluetooth earbuds.

I use it to sleep mainly. I don't like to sleep with headphones or with noise so I just put on a 10-15 minutes session while reading before bed and I feel the effect about 20-30 mins later. I only hope that binaural wave programs like these don't do any real damage in the long run since I use this app almost every night.

I've had this app on my
phone since my hubby downloaded it two year ago, but only recently started using it to help calm me so I may get restful sleep, pre-energy workouts, power naps, focus and alert, concentration, and many more to come. Whenever my mind starts racing at 3AM, I put on my headphones and listen to a meditation or sleep program. Every time I fall back to restful sleep and wake up refreshed 30-60 minutes later. It is just before 5AM now and I'm wide awake after listening to Yoga Meditation for 20 minutes.

I am so happy to have come across this gem. I've been struggling with horrific insomnia and have tried many apps to help promote sleep. This one is by far the best and I use it every night now. There are a ton of ways to customize to your needs and desires with opportunities to further customize with your own music library. This not only helps me get to sleep and keep me asleep, but also has helped me dream again. I know I'm getting better quality sleep now thanks to this app. I've used some of the other features like for headache and stress and seem to feel better afterwards as well. I use this app nearly every day for meditation, napping, or sleeping. So reliable and easy to use. It works faster than chamomile tea for getting me back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night (usually less than 10 minutes).
It's the most useful tool and most-used app on all my devices. I've used it with my own music as a background, but find the soft sounds of the tracks that are supplied with the app to be perfectly adequate.
I've also used the programs for headache relief, euphoria, and creativity with varying degrees of success.
As a longtime fan of Banzai Labs, I'll begin by saying that it is with pride that I confess having purchased all of their brainwave-based applications–including those no longer in circulation–and have found something great in all of them. This particular app is not only the most extensive, but covers the greatest range of topics–consider it a sampler of each of the developers' other apps, as it takes most tracks directly from Banzai's other brainwave applications to produce the bulk of this one.
An important thing to keep in mind with binaural entrainment is that it continues to grow more effective the more you use it. After having used the app for a few weeks, I started feeling really significant effects with tracks I was playing fairly repeatedly. However, it wasn't until I was about a year in that I could start playing new tracks & expect results right away, as my mind was finally just beginning (I assume) to adjust enough to the process to allow for this.
Keeping that in mind, I suggest that new users pick one or two tracks to use regularly until they start feeling strong effects, then to try everything on this app, not just sticking to the waking/sleeping-based tracks! I've just recently 'discovered' the track "Euphoria" and can't get enough of it!
Having purchased a couple other apps on brain entrainment first, I can definitely say this is a superior product that offers lots of flexibility and no drawbacks. Especially, the transitions between stages are smooth as you want them to be, as you can set the duration and drop in volume yourself. Lots of programs spanning all needs, a variety of nature sounds as ambient overlay to choose from, and even a choice of ending signals round out this great app, making it well worth the price. A detailed explanation of how this works is helpful to the beginning user. Kudos!
Hubs bought the app - suddenly appeared on my phone. I didn't bother using it until one day I was trying to avoid another ER visit for a brutal migraine headache. I'm still in shock at how effective and instant the pain relief was! I just couldn't believe it was possible. I kept taking my headphones off to feel the migraine pain kick in again, then popping them back on the experience the instant pain relief. Shockingly awesome. I must point out that so far it hasn't cured my migraines, but it makes life bearable until the meds finally kick in. In the meantime, I use this app's other programs every chance I can get away with wearing headphones or subtle earbuds. Not Disappointed! Thanks, developers!!!! You're making a difference in people's lives.
As a Medical student let's just say my life is in constant flux. I need to sleep when I can or study when I can. And there in lies the rub. When those moments come, I need to immediately get myself into the appropriate mode. I use this product all the time. It may turn out it's simply the placebo effect. Whatever the case may be it helps me get into the appropriate mode. As with all things, find our own path. Given the accelerated pace of my life and my need to immediately respond, I'm going with it.
I was soooo beyond skeptical at first and extremely reluctant to buy this... But the effects are instantaneous and highly effective. I am a full time college student with severe insomnia.. This has helped immensely from both aspects. It helps me sleep almost as well as any medication, and on those sleepless nights it helps me stay focused, awake, concentrated and alert the next day! I suffered a brain injury (concussion and intracranial hemorrhage) about one month ago. Since my accident I'm quite sensitive to sounds, and relaxation and sleep can be difficult. This app was suggested to me by a friend, and now I use it multiple times per day to help me relax, nap, or tune out all the noise my family makes (I have 4 kids and a husband). Other than classical music, it's the only thing I can listen to. It's really a great app.

I have had this app for a long while now, and I still use it. I used to use it only to help me sleep on the plane. However, I now use it daily while researching and doing homework for grad school. If i can get my hands on a nice pair of noise-cancellation headphones, I'll be set!

This definitely helps insomnia. 5 minutes into the deep sleep module and I'm out like a light. The morning meditation is also really good.
I highly recommend this app - I use it every day, sometimes several times a day. The sleep programs are wonderful - they help me get rest even when I only get 4 or 5 hours. I have always had a ridiculously hard time falling asleep, and this is one of the only things that had ever worked for me. It works best with headphones, but it does work without them. I usually stay away from aps I have to pay for, but this one was definitely worth it.
I am a pharmacy student active in many unrelated extracurriculars. When I am at dance practice and need something to play that will keep everyone out and help my focus as I study off-stage, the rain works as white noise. Furthermore, I have been using it as a Pomodoro timer during my long study sessions - 30 minutes on Focus and Alert, ending with an alarm to signal to start my 10-minute "break" in which I answer emails or do some online shopping. I also use it as my napping buddy in the library, where I cannot use my phone or intrinsic iPad alarm for fear it will go off through the speaker and not my headphones. I never have to worry about that with Brain Wave - not to mention the fact that I can fall asleep in whatever relaxing environment I want, like the beach or a forest. THANK YOU, CREATORS OF THIS APP!
I have issues with sleeping because of a hormone imbalance, I just kept the Deep Sleep on all night and I slept really well. Had dreams and felt very well RESTED. I love binaurals, I use the app everyday.

This app is better than any sleeping pill or restless leg pill. I was not sure at first but a friend recommended I try this app. I was having such a hard time sleeping I decided to give it a try. And now I don't go to bed without this app and my earbud.

I have a significant genetic based deficiency in my serotonin levels and as such my brain is unable to produce the proper amounts of melatonin which is what causes humans to be able to sleep. I have tried many things to cure my insomnia from drugs and pills to tea and meditation and they all worked... Sort of. This app is truly the only way I have found to be able to fall asleep in a normal time span. To those insomniacs out there, throw the deep sleep on for an hour and watch a show or some YouTube. It works for me every time!

I love this app. I've used the focused and alert mode and it really helps me get my day started right. I've also used the deep sleep mode and slept extremely well. I highly recommend it! Just make sure you use it with headsets so you get the full benefit.

I've used this app for a few years now, it helps deepen my meditations. I now use it with guided meditations I have in iTunes. And I've never had problems with it, always works as suppose to.
I absolutely love this app. I downloaded it a couple months ago, and it has been one of the best things I could have put on my phone. It provides productive background noise that has been very useful when studying and writing, especially in public settings like cafés or libraries. I also use it when I am having a hard time sleeping or am very anxious and need some sort of grounding noise that isn't too distracting. If you want to play audiobooks, specifically, nothing else comes close. Been using this for years and it has pretty much every feature you could want, including bookmarks. My only wish? That you could make notations in the bookmarks and that the bookmarks would still be there if you left one title and came back later. Otherwise, Worth every penny!

This is the best app I've used so far because I see the result right then. I often listen to the"Atmospheres : Space" ambient along with "reduce anxiety" brain wave and the result is unbelievable : I don't feel anxious anymore. I judge by thinking of anxious stuff while using the app and the feeling is gone boom!

Unbelievable! I'm a habitual insomniac. I've been rotating, the last 3 years between ambien, temazepam and luneasta. Hormone changes and anxiety have dictated my lack of a good nights sleep. Eventually the meds run their course and the "eureka" nights sleep slips it's way back to insomnia. I stumbled onto this app looking for meditation apps for weight loss. After reading several reviews and doing a little homework, I bought the app. LIFE CHANGED! 1) I'm no longer paying ludicrous amounts of money every month for sleep meds! 2) I no longer have to deal with the side effects of the medication i.e.: dry mouth, sleep walking and eating -due to the fact that I'm not in my deepest form of sleep. 3) no medication "hang over" the next morning. 4) I feel like my sleep cycle is truly falling into sync. 5) I wake refreshed, energized and focused.
